Crawlin' by Alice Cooper


There's 3 days until we all move to Rotherham. I think we won't have the internet/TV/phone on Thursday...but I don't mind (although I hope I don't miss any important news or whatever). It's only for one day

Today we've been removing carpets and stuff like that...Interesting stuff like that My back issues of magazines such as Kerrang! (I stopped buying it when it began to suck) have managed to survive the dangers of the clearout, so I'm going to sell them on eBay. Posters are worth more, if you know how to advertise them But don't tell anyone...You have to be 18 to sign up/use eBay and I'm only 17 next month!

On Thursday, the 31st of July, Pogo and I finally had our interviews with TRC. It was incredibly straight forward. Well...if you forget the torrential downpour of rain that we had to walk through on the way to college. When we arrived we were soaked through, squelching through the carpeted Reception area of the building. Classy. I'm just glad there were no other students there...it was the "summer holidays", if you like. That would have been more embarassing.

I've been talking to a few people online. Two of them, Tony (from France) and Marky (from the USA), are in bands of their own. Both of their bands play small shows, cover some damn good songs, have fun...Well. I'm envious (I'd say jealous, but that's a negative word). I've been playing bass for longer than Tony. I've been playing bass for longer than Marky's been palying guitar. Yet they're both in bands. Well, I guess I'll have to move my ass and do something about it. But when I'm in college. That'd'be soo much easier, after all. I don't know anyone my age in Rotherham (besides Pogo, lol).

Pogo and I had a short jam session yesterday. We played Bitch is Back by LA Guns and then Slither by Velvet Revolver...My wrist was cramped up afterwards - I dont play bass much these days...I'm too lazy. But I'm playing more often - I'm not about to give up soon.

I think we're going to take some stuff to Rotherham this weekend...Which means I'll have to sit in the back with my gigantic shark (its a plushtoy...) named Cornell. He's atleast 7ft long. And bright orange. Mum's not too happy about that. Heh.
Other than him, we're taking the guitars and amps. I think the PlayStations are going aswell. I hope I can smuggle a few of my teddies...I'm a big kid (as explained in the last blog) so I'm finding it hard to be separated from them! Yes, I sometimes forget that I'm a 16 year old girl. I left school in June. Not very mature in that sense, am I?


Anyone know how to fix the time on Cutenews? Ah wel...I guess I'll figure it out meself.

I had to get Pogo to change my subdomain address. There was an unwanted visitor...someone I knew offline. So, needs must, Strychnine is at a new address. I suppose that if anyone (whoever that could be, I dont know) linked this site, they should change the URL...Just a hint

So it's about as certain as it can get at the moment that pogo and I are going to see LA Guns and love/Hate on Sept 26th and then Pretty Boy Floyd, Britny Fox and BulletBoys sometime in November!! Started researching Britny Fox & BulletBoys yesterday...I dont want to be an idiot-fan (or a shit-head lol). Needta hear more songs, if ya ask me!!

For the past week (I think) we've all been sorting out the house for the move. For some reason it feels good to clear all the crap out of the room I share with Pogo. It's easy throwing away a lot of the stuff...but I couldn't part with some of my old teddies (soft toys, if ya didnt know) - I feel like a big kid now haha.
I'm not going to miss Runcorn itsself...just my friends. I know I'll see them at the end of next month (GCSE results day!!!) but the days/weeks/months/years after aren't so certain. But that's life. And it goes on.

You may have noticed, or you may have not noticed...Strychnine now has a new layout! This one (version 20) features lead guitarist of Dir en Grey: Kaoru! I really like this layout...Nice and bright (unlike the defunct version 19 that I guess no one saw actively on the site...).
I'm thinking of some new content for this site. Won't have to shut down to do that (never do that for major changes...so why should it happen for adding new pages? lol). That should happen in the next few weeks or so - if I'm not too busy with the move, that is!!
